Mazda6e available to order in Europe from April 1 for 44,900 euros
Mazda launches its first truly global model. The Mazda6e is also coming to Europe. All information about the electric sedan!
The Mazda6e was only officially unveiled in April at Auto China (as the Mazda EZ-6) as the vanguard of Mazda's electric car offensive, which was initially only supposed to appear on the Chinese market. Now, however, Mazda has officially announced that it will also bring the electric sedan to Europe.

The sedan will be released in Europe in two trim levels and two battery sizes and is scheduled for delivery in summer 2025.
Mazda6e: Exterior design
The new Mazda6e is intended to exude a strong and at the same time elegant presence with soft, flowing lines. The sedan stretches over 4.92 meters and is 1.89 meters wide and 1.48 meters high. A low roofline and a short rear give the Mazda6e a coupé-like silhouette and thus underline the sporty claim. With retractable door handles and a continuous light strip, a modern component also flows into the design of the Mazda6e.
The illuminated frame around the large grille at the front provides an eye-catching light signature. The electrically extendable rear spoiler is also striking, which makes the Mazda6e even more dynamic.
From the outside, the partial Chinese origin of the Mazda6e is hardly recognizable, after all, the new electric sedan fits well into the appearance of the rest of the Mazda fleet. Above all, the familiar Mazda face at the front will be retained.
Mazda6e: Battery and drive
The Mazda6e is only sold as an electric car in Europe and comes with two different battery sizes. The Mazda6e 258 comes with a 68.8 kWh battery and 258 hp of power. This should give the electric car a range of 479 km.
The second variant is the Mazda6e 245 Long Range. With a larger 80 kWh battery, it has a range of 552 km and a maximum output of 245 hp. Both variants come with rear-wheel drive and have a top speed of 175 km/h and a towing capacity of up to 1.5 tonnes. The Mazda6e 258 can charge at up to 200 kW, while the Mazda6e 245 Long Range only has a maximum charging power of 95 kW. So the 258 charges from 10 to 80% charge within 22 minutes, while the Long Range variant takes 45 minutes.
Mazda6e: Innenraum und Infotainment
So gut sich der Mazda6e außen in das Mazda-Design einfügt, so anders ist er im Innenraum. Ein großer, zentraler 14,6 Zoll-Bildschirm als Herzstück des Infotainments trägt eine klar chinesische Handschrift. Auch das 10,25 Zoll große digitale Kombiinstrument ist großflächig dimensioniert, ebenso das Head-up-Display, welches seine Informationen auf bis zu 50 Zoll in das Blickfeld des Fahrers projizieren kann. Der Laderaum fällt nicht ganz so großzügig aus mit 330 (bzw. 700 bei umgeklappten Sitzen) Litern im Kofferraum und 70 Litern im Frunk.
Ein Panorama-Glasdach sorgt für viel Licht im Innenraum, der mit einer schwebenden Mittelkonsole ein offenes, leichtes Gefühl bei den Passagieren schaffen will. Für die digitale Anbindung des Autos an das eigene Handy gibt es eine Smartphone-App, in der man das Fahrzeug vorklimatisieren oder seine Ladestops im Voraus planen kann. Mit neun Airbags und zahlreichen Sicherheits- und Assistenzsystemen sorgt der Mazda6e ebenfalls für die Sicherheit der Passagiere. Ob die europäische Version auch die volle Bandbreite der Assistenzsysteme der chinesischen Variante (Autonomes Fahren der Stufe 2.5, Selbstständiges Ausparken) ist jedoch noch nicht bekannt.
Mazda6e: Verkaufsstart und Preis
Der Mazda6e ist ab dem 1. April 2025 bestellbar und soll dann im Sommer 2025 zu den deutschen Händlern ausgeliefert werden. Der Listenpreis des neuen Mazda6e startet bei 44.900 €.
